Inverness film fans are super excited to be able to show one of the greatest films of all tim, Ugetsu Monogatari (Rain Moon Tales),  from one of the greatest directors of all time Kenji Mizoguchi.

Ugetsu, as it is sometimes known, is a Japanese period fantasy film directed by Kenji Mizoguchi starring Masayuki Mori and Machiko Kyō. It is based on the stories "The House in the Thicket" and "The Lust of the White Serpent" from Ueda Akinari's 1776 book Ugetsu Monogatari, combining elements of the jidaigeki (period drama) set in the 16th century civil war genre with a ghost story.
